Hamilton Day June 3, 2017

Hamilton Day 2017 is around the corner.

Plan to join us as we celebrate our small town!

Saturday, June 3, 2017 brings:

The day will begin with the fourth running of a cross country race for the kids – the Hamilton Point to Point race – beginning at 8:00 am is a ½ mile run for grades K-3, then a one mile race for 4th & 5th graders and finally a two mile race for middle school students. Registration forms can be downloaded by clicking the following: Hamilton Point to Point 2017 Form .  Drop the forms off at the Town office or at walk up registration the day of the race at 7:30 am. The race is sponsored by Parker Monuments, Lowry’s Crab Shack, Progressive Auto, Loudoun County Milling and The Natural Merchantile.

The Hamilton Day Parade down W. Colonial Highway will commence at 11:00 am from the Hamilton Safety Center, traveling through town, ending at the corner of Reid Street and W. Colonial Highway (by Lowry’s Crab Shack and the LDS church).   We are calling all decorated bicycles, walking costumed children, ball teams, dance troupes, local businesses, antique cars etc. to join in if you haven’t already planned on being a part of the fun!

The celebration continues after the parade with a Party in the Hamilton Park to include two bands – local dad garage band, 22Late and youth band, IBNH – plus yummy food to purchase from the Hamilton Ruritans, glitter tattoos by Dee Vinchey Entertainment – sponsored by Harmony Hairworks and Parker Monuments, a bounce house for the kids – donated by NOVA Party Rentals, corn hole and wiffle ball plus local businesses spotlighting their wares and spring finery.

General questions about the festivities or sponsorships can be answered by either Cheryl Campbell or Carri Michon.  Interested participants for the parade can contact Cheryl Campbell at cbikowski@burkinc.com and race questions can be directed to Carri Michon at CLMichon@aol.com.
